Rather expected game when 4th placed Jachal (2-9) was defeated at home by first ranked Independ.O. (11-1) 81-69 on Saturday. Independ.O. outrebounded Jachal 34-21 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Lucio Reinaudi (185-95) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Jose Bione (200-98) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Independ.O. players scored in double figures. Independ.O.'s coach Martin Gonzalez used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Ismael Sarruff responded with 16 points and 4 assists and forward Santiago Ibarra (198-98) scored 13 points. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Independ.O.. Newly promoted Independ.O. maintains first place with 11-1 record, which they share with Dep Viedma. Jachal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Rivadavia. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jachal will play against Rivadavia (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
