There was no surprise when 7th ranked Argentino (3-3) was crushed on the road by second ranked Obera (6-2) 99-49 on Thursday. Obera held Argentino to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Obera forced 21 Argentino turnovers and outrebounded them 54-34 including a 41-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Argentino's players. Franco Fragozo (198-1) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and point guard Santiago Konaszuk (188-99) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Obera players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Agustin Cavallin (188-1) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Juan Ibarra scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Obera. Despite that victory Obera went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Argentino dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with Penarol and Union. Obera will meet Union (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Argentino will play against Platense and hope to secure a win.
