There was no surprise in Rio Negro where 4th ranked Bahia (3-11) was defeated by first ranked Dep Viedma (12-2) 96-78 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Trevon Young (198-95, college: Eckerd) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Raul Pelorosso (178-94) who added 15 points and 4 steals during the contest. Four Dep Viedma players scored in double figures. At the losing side Brazilian center Gabriel Novaes (208-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Ezequiel Paz (190-1, agency: Interperformances) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dep Viedma maintains first position with 12-2 record. Bahia lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Rivadavia and Jachal. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
