Regular Season Round 8: Centauros - Supersonicos 70-75

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Margarita: Supersonicos (#4) and Centauros (#6). Centauros were defeated at home 70-75 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Worth to mention a great performance of Evert Bernal (195-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Tulio Cobos (197-86, college: Northeastern St.) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The former international center Javinger Vargas (202-90) responded with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Eduardo Rios (182-88) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Centauros players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Supersonicos (4-5) moved-up to third place, which they share with Trotamundos and Broncos. Centauros lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
