Regular Season Round 8: Olimpia - Bigua 93-96

The most exciting game of round 8 in the LUB took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Olimpia (3-3) to top-ranked Bigua (6-0) 96-93 on Saturday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American Donald Sims (190-87, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 45 points (!!!) and Alex Lopez (186-93) who added 19 points during the contest. Bigua's coach Diego Cal used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Abel Agarbado (179-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 assists and the former international forward Nicolas Catala (196-91) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Five Olimpia players scored in double figures. Bigua have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Olimpia at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Malvin and Nacional. Bigua's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Trouville.
