Manabi made 32-of-41 charity shots (78.0 percent) during the game, while Guerreros only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Guerreros 51-39 including a 39-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guerreros were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Mairon Cuero (190-89) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 5 rebounds. American Kelly Hinds (-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Manabi players scored in double figures. Center Michael Torres (-2) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and center Bryan Lara (-97) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Guerreros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Manabi maintains second place with 6-3 record having just three points less than leader Santa Maria. Guerreros at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost.
