There was a surprise result in Santiago del Estero where nineteenth ranked Quimsa (2-6) edged higher ranked San Martin (6-2) 88-86 on Sunday. Quimsa looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Diego Collomb fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Center Lucio Longoni (205-1) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Franco Mendez (188-2) produced 18 points and 7 assists and Vila Bordon added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Four Quimsa and five San Martin players scored in double figures. Quimsa moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Gimnasia. Loser San Martin dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Martin will play against Olimpico (#20) and hope to secure a win.
