Regular Season Round 8: Quimsa - San Martin 87-74

Leader Quimsa delivered the seventh win on Monday night. This time they beat 5th ranked San Martin (5-2) 87-74 in Santiado del Estero. The best player for the winners was international Ivan Gramajo (193-96) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. International Matias Solanas (192-98) produced 11 points and 4 assists and swingman Emiliano Basabe (195-92) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimsa maintains first position with 7-1 record. San Martin at the other side keeps the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Gimnasia and San Lorenzo. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Martin will play on the road against Olimpico (#10) in La Banda and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
