Regular Season Round 13: Diablos - Cocodrilos 69-87

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Caracas: Cocodrilos (#2) and Diablos (#4). Diablos were crushed at home by 18 points 69-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Cocodrilos players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Diablos' players. Dominican Luis Montero (203-93, college: South Plains) stepped up and scored 19 points and 4 assists for the winners and forward Jovanni Diaz (203-90) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side point guard Martin Escobar (185-88) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Argenis Indriago (178-0) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cocodrilos maintains second place with 9-2 record having just two point less than leader Spartans. Diablos lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Heroes.
