Very predictable result in La Banda where sixth ranked San Martin (6-2) defeated bottom-ranked Olimpico (1-7) 74-69 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Olimpico 57-40 including 42 on the defensive glass. Franco Alorda (203-99) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Rolando Vallejos (195-0) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Ecuadorian forward Aaron Capurro (201-0) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Mateo Codigoni (191-0) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Olimpico's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San Martin moved-up to fourth place. Olimpico lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. San Martin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
