There was no surprise in Almagro where 19th ranked Atenas (1-8) was defeated by eighth ranked San Lorenzo (6-3) 86-79 on Sunday. San Lorenzo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Leandro Cerminato (201-98) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Agustin Perez (192-99) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Latraius Mosley (198-90, college: Life) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and Augusto Alonso (187-98, agency: BIG) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Atenas' coach Sebastian Saborido let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. Atenas lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. San Lorenzo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Atenas will play against Argentino (#16) and hope to win that game.
