Very expected game in Santa Fe where 20th ranked Platense (2-8) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Union SF (5-6) 84-78 on Monday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Union SF looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Haitian forward Jeantal Cylla (201-96, college: Arkansas, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Andres Jaime (184-0) helped adding 9 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Union SF's coach Juan Francisco Ponce used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Felipe Pais (183-90) responded with 30 points and point guard Andres Lugli (188-95) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Union SF have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Olimpico. Platense at the other side dropped to the eighteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Atenas. Union SF will meet Argentino (#17) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Platense will play against Atenas in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
