Regular Season Round 9: Regatas - Penarol 81-83

The most exciting game of round 9 in the LDD took place in Corrientes. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked Regatas (7-4) to fourteenth ranked Penarol (4-7) 83-81 on Tuesday evening. It was a good game for guard Facundo Cabrera (185-1) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Lucas Gorosterrazu (197-98, agency: BIG) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Five Penarol players scored in double figures. Penarol maintains fourteenth place with 4-7 record. Regatas at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Penarol are looking forward to face league's leader Comunicaciones in Mercedes in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Regatas will play at home against H.Americano (#18) and is hoping to win this game.
