Very predictable result in Montevideo where fifth ranked Malvin (7-3) edged 12th ranked O.Mundial (2-8) 79-77 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized German center Kiril Wachsmann (203-84, college: Iona) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and Argentinian swingman Cristian Cardo (198-99) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Malvin players scored in double figures. Malvin's coach Federico Camina used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86, college: N.Mexico) with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and point guard Diego Alvarez (180-90) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
