Regular Season Round 12: Ferro - Quimsa 76-80

An interesting game for Quimsa (8-1) which played road game in Buenos Aires against second-best Ferro (8-5). Third ranked Quimsa managed to get a 4-point victory 80-76. Quimsa shot 28 for 38 from the free-throw line, while Ferro only scored eleven points from the stripe. The winners were led by American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and international point guard Franco Baralle (185-99) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Even 20 points and 7 assists by point guard Rodrigo Gallegos (186-91) did not help to save the game for Ferro. Power forward Marco Luchi (198-92) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Ferro players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Quimsa keeps a position of league leader. Loser Ferro dropped to the third place with five games lost. Quimsa will meet Boca (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ferro will play against Platense (#18) in Florida and hope to secure a win.
