There was a small surprise in Junin where eleventh ranked Argentino (7-6) defeated 9th ranked La Union (6-6) 74-70 on Thursday. They outrebounded La Union 50-36 including 41 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Franco Montemagio (185-2) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Ezequiel Filipetti (200-1) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. F Gimenez produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Jose Campoya (195-2) added 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Five La Union players scored in double figures.
