The most exciting game of round 14 in the LUB took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Urupan (7-4) to second ranked Bigua (10-1) 78-76 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Urupan. Bigua looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Victor Rudd (206-91, college: S.Florida) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Santiago Vidal (180-89) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds, 13 assists and 7 steals during the contest. Four Bigua players scored in double figures. Bigua's coach Diego Cal used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Martin Trelles (187-96) responded with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (206-93, college: UW-Parkside) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Bigua have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Goes. Newly promoted Urupan keeps the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Malvin. Bigua's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Defensor.
