There was a small surprise in Montevideo where thirteenth ranked Defensor (3-8) beat 10th ranked Urunday (3-7) 90-84 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American guard Kelsey Barlow (196-91, college: UIC) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Marcos Cabot (180-89) chipped in 21 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Point guard Andres Dotti (180-93) produced 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and DNicolas Delgado (198-87) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defensor moved-up to eleventh place. Urunday lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Defensor's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Bigua.
