The most interesting game of round 16 in the La Liga was a home defeat of 3rd ranked San Martin (9-4) to second ranked Quimsa (10-3) 78-68. It ended the two-game winning streak of San Martin. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Quimsa made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Sebastian Acevedo (200-90) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds and international point guard Franco Baralle (185-99) who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international Leonardo Mainoldi (205-85) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Emiliano Basabe (195-92) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Quimsa keeps a position of league leader. San Martin at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Quimsa are looking forward to face La Union (#16) in Formosa in the next round which should be an easy win for them. San Martin will play on the road against Gimnasia (#5) in Comodoro Rivadavia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
