There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 16th ranked Olimpico (6-9) was defeated by tenth ranked Obras (8-5) 74-68 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Center Patricio Barral (191-2) stepped up and scored 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Cape Verdean Victor Andrade (203-0) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Obras' coach Bernardo Murphy allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Elyjah Clark (190-98, college: MSSU) responded with 22 points and forward Santiago Arese (196-87) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. Obras moved-up to seventh place, which they share with San Lorenzo. Olimpico lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Obras will meet Riachuelo LR (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Olimpico will have a break next round.
