Regular Season Round 17: La Union - Quimsa 82-83

Sixteenth-ranked La Union (5-11) made lots of trouble for first ranked Quimsa (11-3) in Formosa on Tuesday. The visitors from Santiado del Estero managed to secure only one-point victory 83-82. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Mauro Cosolito (195-88) chipped in 14 points. Quimsa's coach Sebastian Gonzalez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Chaz Crawford (208-84, college: Drexel) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and forward Patricio Tabarez (195-91) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five La Union players scored in double figures. Quimsa maintains first place with 11-3 record. La Union at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. Quimsa are looking forward to face Ferro (#3) in Buenos Aires in the next round, which may be the game of the day. La Union will have a break next round.
