Regular Season Round 3: Catolica - Puente Alto 74-87

Very expected game in Santiago where Universidad Catolica (0-2) was defeated by Puente Alto (3-0) 87-74 on Saturday. Puente Alto made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Universidad Catolica turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international Antonio Pinedo (195-94) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Puente Alto's coach Pablo Ares used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and guard Ramon Gatica (185-96) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists respectively. Puente Alto will meet Tinguiririca (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Universidad Catolica will play against Los Leones and hopes to get finally their first victory.
