The game between second ranked San Martin (13-3) and fifth ranked Boca Jrs (11-2) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. San Martin was defeated by Boca Jrs in a tough game in Buenos Aires 66-73. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of San Martin. The best player for the winners was swingman Juan Guerrero (194-3) who scored 30 points and 7 rebounds. Center Nicolas Burgos (207-3) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Franco Mendez (188-2) who recorded 29 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Lautaro Ruesta (193-3) added 13 points respectively. Boca Jrs moved-up to fourth place. San Martin at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Boca Jrs are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Platense (#20) in Florida in the next round which should be an easy win for them. San Martin will play at home against Instituto (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
