Regular Season Round 19: Olimpico - Ferro 84-64

The game between third ranked Ferro (10-7) and thirteenth ranked Olimpico (7-9) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Ferro was crushed by Olimpico in La Banda 84-64. Olimpico looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for forward Santiago Arese (196-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. International Leonardo Lema (204-98) helped adding 14 points. At the losing side point guard Rodrigo Gallegos (186-91) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Valentin Bettiga (189-99) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpico moved-up to twelfth place. Ferro at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Olimpico are looking forward to face bottom-ranked H.Americano (#20) in Rio Gallegos in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ferro will play on the road against Riachuelo LR (#13) in La Rioja and is hoping to win this game.
