Regular Season Round 4: Valdivia - Talca 90-65

Deportivo Valdivia can celebrate their first win this season after one consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Espanol de Talca (1-3) 90-65 on Sunday. Deportivo Valdivia looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Espanol de Talca's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian-Mexican Gabriel Giron (192-88) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Enzo Amado (183-95) who added 17 points during the contest. Deportivo Valdivia's coach Juan Manuel Cordoba felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward T.J. Robinson (203-89, college: LBSU) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Mauricio Rebolledo (-94) scored 7 points and 11 rebounds. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Deportivo Valdivia (1-1) left bottom position moving up to sixth place. Loser Espanol de Talca keeps the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Puerto Montt. Deportivo Valdivia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Valdivia to the arena Las Animas.
