Regular Season Round 4: Tinguiririca - Puente Alto 61-87

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in San Fernando. Top-ranked Puente Alto faced bottom-ranked Tinguiririca. Guests from Puente Alto (3-0) smashed host Tinguiririca (0-2) 87-61. Puente Alto made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. The former international Antonio Pinedo (195-94) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. DR Congolese-Canadian forward Eric Kibi (198-90, college: ACU) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and Keinder Albarracin (-95) added 11 points in the effort for Tinguiririca. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Puente Alto have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Los Leones. Newly promoted Tinguiririca still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Catolica and Temuco. Puente Alto will play against league's second-placed Los Leones in Quilpue in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tinguiririca will have a break next round.
