La Liga top team - Quimsa (13-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Obras (9-6) in Santiado del Estero 93-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Obras. They outrebounded Obras 39-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a quality performance for American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The former international Mauro Cosolito (195-88) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. American forward Keith Stone (203-97, college: Miami, FL, agency: Duran International) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and international power forward Lautaro Berra (208-98) added 14 points respectively for Obras in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Quimsa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-3 record. Obras at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with San Lorenzo. Quimsa will play against bottom-ranked H.Americano (#20) in Rio Gallegos in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Obras will play on the road against Olimpico (#12) in La Banda and hopes to get back on the winning track.
