Very predictable result when eighth ranked Obras (10-7) won against 17th ranked Olimpico (4-13) in La Banda 76-70 on Tuesday. The winners were led by Venezuelan power forward Fernando Fuenmayor (201-0) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and Alejo Digon (195-99) supported him with 13 points. Even 19 points and 4 assists by forward Mateo Codigoni (191-0) did not help to save the game for Olimpico. Ecuadorian forward Aaron Capurro (201-0) added 15 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Olimpico's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Obras maintains eighth position with 10-7 record, which they share with Riachuelo LR. Loser Olimpico keeps the seventeenth place with 13 games lost. Obras will meet at home league's leader Comunicaciones in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Olimpico will play against Argentino (#11) and hope to secure a win.
