Regular Season Round 32: Libertad - Independ.O. 78-81

Fifth-ranked Libertad (5-2) gave a tough game to top-ranked Independ.O. (10-0) in Sunchales on Thursday. The visitors from Olivia managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Joaquin Noblega (194-97) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Fernando Martina (200-81) who added 19 points during the contest. Independ.O.'s coach Martin Gonzalez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Manuel Alonso (195-99, agency: BIG) responded with 26 points and power forward Estefano Simondi (201-96) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Independ.O. have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Newly promoted Independ.O. maintains first position with 10-0 record. Libertad at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Libertad will play on the road against Ameghino (#11) in Villa Maria and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
