Very predictable result when fourth ranked Sao Paulo (12-5) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Brasilia (3-14) 90-86. Strangely Brasilia outrebounded Sao Paulo 47-29 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international Bruno Caboclo (206-95) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international point guard Ricardo Fischer (183-91) came up with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-95, college: New Orleans) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Brasilia in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Sao Paulo maintains fourth place with 12-5 record. Brasilia at the other side stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Sao Paulo will play against Cerrado (#15) in Brasilia in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Brasilia will have a break next round.
