Colon SF's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Echague (2-9) 83-74. Colon SF made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Guard Matias Cueva (185-97) scored 22 points and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Gregorio Eseverri (194-86) chipped in 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Canadian center Christian Rohlehr (206, college: SFC) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Rodrigo Riquelme (192-92) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Four Echague players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Colon SF maintains fifteenth position with 1-8 record, which they share with Quilmes MP. Echague at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Jachal. Colon SF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Echague will play at home against CAO Ceres (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
