An interesting game took place in Junin where higher ranked San Lorenzo (9-8) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Argentino (7-12) 98-78 on Friday. Argentino outrebounded San Lorenzo 38-22 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. American guard Thomas Cooper (196-92, college: Calgary) fired 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import center Chris Daniels (208-84, college: TAMUCC, agency: Shark Sports Management) chipped in 17 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Argentino players scored in double figures. Leandro Cerminato (201-98) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Facundo Rutenberg (190-1) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Argentino moved-up to fourteenth place. San Lorenzo lost third consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
