Regular Season Round 19: San Martin - Atenas 87-77

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked San Martin (15-4) defeated 10th ranked Atenas (10-9) in Corrientes 87-77 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for guard Dylan Bordon (182-4) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Center Julian Lorca (207-3) accounted for 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. San Martin's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Ignacio Segura (195-0) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds and forward Jonatan Basualdo (198-99) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Atenas in the defeat. Four Atenas players scored in double figures. San Martin moved-up to second place. Loser Atenas keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. San Martin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Atenas will play against La Union (#15) in Formosa and hope to secure a win.
