Regular Season Round 20: Comunicaciones - Riachuelo LR 116-92

LDD top team - Comunicaciones (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Riachuelo LR (11-9) in Mercedes 116-92. Comunicaciones had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists. Power forward Lucas Mercadino (204-3) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field). Forward Franco Maeso (197-1) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Comunicaciones' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Yoel Cuenca (178-99) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals and guard Mateo Corso (185-4) added 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Riachuelo LR. Five Comunicaciones and four Riachuelo LR players scored in double figures. Comunicaciones have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-2 record. Riachuelo LR at the other side keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Comunicaciones are looking forward to face Union (#9) in Santa Fe in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Riachuelo LR will play at home against Boca Jrs and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
