Regular Season Round 39: Parque Sur - Lanus 70-76

There was a surprise result in Concepcion de Urug. where fourteenth ranked Lanus (4-8) defeated higher ranked Parque Sur (5-6) 76-70 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Cassidy Ryan (201-95, college: Brock) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Mariano Gago (188-1) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Elnes Bolling (193-91) who recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Guillermo Romero (198-95) added 10 points and 15 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lanus moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Rocamora. Loser Parque Sur keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Lanus will meet higher ranked Estudiantes C. (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Parque Sur will have a break next round.
