There was no surprise in Villa Maria where 12th ranked Dep Norte (4-8) was defeated by fifth ranked Ameghino (8-5) 89-75 on Monday. Ameghino shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Emiliano Lezcano (187-1) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Cristian Zenclussen (186-97) who added 19 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Ameghino players scored in double figures. Ameghino's coach Pablo Castro used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Lautaro Mare (196-98) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Octavio Sarmiento Battistoni scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Ameghino have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Dep Norte keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost.
