No shocking result in a game in Montevideo where fifth ranked Penarol (10-7) defeated 13th ranked Urunday (4-12) 72-66 on Monday. American center Lee Roberts (203-87, college: Findlay, OH) stepped up and scored 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Salvador Zanotta (185-95) chipped in 8 points and 10 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international Facundo Medina (190-94) with 16 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and DNicolas Delgado (198-87) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Urunday players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Penarol maintains fifth place with 10-7 record. Urunday lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Penarol's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Capitol.
