There was no surprise in Montevideo where 14th ranked Capitol (2-14) was defeated by eleventh ranked O.Mundial (6-11) 87-76 on Monday. O.Mundial outrebounded Capitol 38-26 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Capitol's players. American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86, college: N.Mexico) stepped up and scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and point guard Diego Alvarez (180-90) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Davaunta Thomas (196-95, college: UAFS) with 25 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and the other American import power forward Jarrid Famous (211-88, college: S.Florida, agency: BIG) scored 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five O.Mundial and four Capitol players scored in double figures. O.Mundial have a solid series of three victories in a row.
