Regular Season Round 21: Defensor - Aguada 86-81

We should mention about the upset which took place in Montevideo, where 4th placed Aguada (11-6) lost to twelfth ranked Defensor (6-11) in a road game 81-86 on Monday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Aguada. Defensor made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Point guard Marcos Cabot (180-89) stepped up and scored 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners and the former international center Hatila Passos (211-85, college: NM State) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Argentinian Marcos Mata (202-86) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Leandro Morales (186-80, college: Texas A&M, agency: Pro Sports) scored 16 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Defensor moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Trouville and O.Mundial. Loser Aguada keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Defensor's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Goes.
