Regular Season Round 25: Instituto - Comunicaciones 74-69

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Instituto (14-10) beat 18th ranked Comunicaciones (6-15) in Cordoba 74-69 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Point guard Gaston Whelan (187-94) nailed 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international power forward Tayavek Gallizzi (206-93) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds. Instituto's coach Lucas Victoriano allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American Jordan Adams (196-94, college: UCLA) came up with 24 points (made all of his eight free throws) and point guard Alejandro Konsztadt (191-89) added 9 points and 6 assists respectively for Comunicaciones in the defeat. Instituto moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ferro. Comunicaciones lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the nineteenth position with 15 games lost. Instituto will meet at home Riachuelo LR (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Comunicaciones will play against Atenas (#17) in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
