There was an upset when higher ranked Obera (11-11) lost to sixteenth ranked Platense (8-15) in Florida 64-71 on Friday. Swingman Lucas Goldenberg (190-93) nailed 6 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Felipe Pais (183-90) accounted for 18 points. American forward Samuel Givens (197-89, college: Drexel) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 20 rebounds and Jamaican power forward Clint Robinson (203-94, college: UIC) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Obera in the defeat. Four Obera players scored in double figures. Platense moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Union SF. Loser Obera dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Riachuelo LR. Platense will meet at home higher ranked Obras (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Obera will play against La Union and hope to secure a win.
