The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Bigua (#2) and Malvin (#6). Malvin was defeated at home 86-91 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Bigua made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Donald Sims (190-87, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 assists. Guard Santiago Vidal (180-89, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. Naturalized German center Kiril Wachsmann (203-84, college: Iona) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: ECSU) added 23 points in the effort for Malvin. Five Bigua and four Malvin players scored in double figures. Bigua have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 14-3 record having just three points less than leader Goes. Malvin lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Olimpia. Bigua's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Olimpia.
