Regular Season Round 9: Valdivia - Puerto Montt 84-76

An interesting game took place in Valdivia where higher ranked Puerto Montt (3-4) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Deportivo Valdivia (2-4) 84-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Puerto Montt. Panamanian-Mexican Gabriel Giron (192-88) nailed 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American forward Cameron Naylor (202-94, college: Texas St.) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds. Naylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Deportivo Valdivia players scored in double figures. Italian-Argentinian point guard Diego Gerbaudo (178-89) came up with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and international Carlos Lauler (190-96) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively for Puerto Montt in the defeat. Deportivo Valdivia moved-up to tenth place. Puerto Montt at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Tinguiririca. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
