Regular Season Round 9: Tinguiririca - Ancud 98-83

An interesting game took place in San Fernando where 6th ranked Ancud (3-3) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Tinguiririca (3-4) 98-83 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ancud. The best player for the winners was DR Congolese-Canadian forward Eric Kibi (198-90, college: ACU) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. The former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-86) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Four Tinguiririca players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard DaQuan Brooks (177-90, college: W.Connecticut) who recorded 26 points and 4 assists and the other American import Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: OBU) added 20 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tinguiririca moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Puerto Montt. Loser Ancud keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Tinguiririca will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ancud will play against Universidad Catolica (#12) in Santiago and hope to secure a win.
