Regular Season Round 42: GELP - Dep Viedma 72-85

Everything went according to plan in La Plata where second ranked Dep Viedma (10-4) beat 7th ranked GELP (7-7) 85-72 on Saturday. Strangely GELP outrebounded Dep Viedma 49-36 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Matias Eidintas (186-95) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Raul Pelorosso (178-94) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was center Franco Barroso (207-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Carlos Gianella (181) added 20 points respectively. Four GELP players scored in double figures. Dep Viedma have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-4 record behind leader Independ.O. Loser GELP dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Salta Basket. Dep Viedma will meet Lanus (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
