Very predictable result in Rio Gallegos where sixth ranked Ferro (15-10) smashed bottom-ranked H.Americano (3-18) 100-74 on Sunday. They outrebounded H.Americano 38-23 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ferro looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Marco Luchi (198-1992) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Rodrigo Gallegos (186-1991) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Victor Fernandez (180-1999) produced 19 points and power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ferro moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Instituto. H.Americano lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Ferro will meet at home Argentino (#17) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. H.Americano will play against Regatas and hope to secure a win.
