Everything could happen in Montevideo at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Trouville and 10th ranked O.Mundial had identical 7-11 record. This time Trouville used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Montevideo 102-93 on Monday night. Strangely O.Mundial outrebounded Trouville 42-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Dwayne Davis (196-1989, college: Southern Miss) who scored 34 points (!!!). The former international point guard Federico Soto (195-1997) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Anthony Danridge (196-1986, college: N.Mexico) produced 31 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the other American import point guard Justin Pierce (193-1990, college: Averett) added 24 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Trouville. They moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted O.Mundial keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Defensor and Hebraica. Trouville's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Bigua.
