The game between Top Four teams took place in Corrientes. Second ranked host San Martin (19-4) defeated 4th ranked Boca Jrs (17-3) 90-81. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Boca Jrs. The winners were led by Franco Mendez (188-2002) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and Rolando Vallejos (195-2000) supported him with 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (went 15 for 15 at the free throw line !!!). Even a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) by Manuel Rodriguez (203-2002) did not help to save the game for Boca Jrs. Swingman Juan Guerrero (194-2003) added 18 points and 5 assists. Four Boca Jrs players scored in double figures. San Martin have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-4 record having four points less than leader Comunicaciones. Boca Jrs at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. San Martin will play against Instituto (#5) in Cordoba in the next round. Boca Jrs' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Buenos Aires to the arena Obras.
