Regular Season Round 24: Trouville - Bigua 79-90

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Bigua (#2) and Trouville (#8). Trouville was defeated at home 79-90 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Trouville. Bigua looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 20 points and 6 assists. The other American import Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Four Bigua players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Federico Soto (195-1997) who recorded 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Miles Bowman Jr. (198-1993, college: High Point) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bigua (16-3) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position having just three points less than leader Goes. Trouville at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost.
