The game in Cordoba supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked San Martin (21-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Instituto (17-9). San Martin smashed Instituto 111-88. They outrebounded Instituto 46-33 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. San Martin players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Franco Mendez (188-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Dylan Bordon (182-2004) contributed with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Five San Martin players scored in double figures. Point guard Juan Frontera (178-2002) answered with 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists and point guard Lautaro Urquiza (177-2001) added 21 points in the effort for Instituto. Instituto's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for San Martin. They maintain second place with 21-4 record behind leader Comunicaciones. Instituto at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. San Martin will play against Penarol (#11) in Mar del Plata in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Instituto will play on the road against Gimnasia CR (#19) in Comodoro Rivadavia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
